Upon entering a public space, have you considered how a place has been influenced by different generations, cultures, and human factors? The public domain has witnessed the changes of times, the interweaving of cultures, and the development of humanity.
Acti(vati)on will happen at the Hawley Wharf site, the new wing of the historical Camden market. After drifting, documenting, and analyzing, the six groups focused on diverse topics from the site; the emotional experience, sound, lights, historical patterns, materials, graffiti, and more.
The diverse interventions by the AAIS students will allow the visitors to explore the relationship between new and old culture, economy and art, and nature and humanity through sculpture, installation, multi-media, and technology.
