Warning. You might see men, women and such like creatures; of which we make anatomy. Symbols are these. Signs. We say no more. They are social adults being social adults. People, even wicked people are more naive and whole hearted than one generally assumes. We’re transgressive on purpose. … It is a bit weird but it works.

रक़ीब (raqeeb) is a series that features a performative culinary experience at Shoreditch Art’s Club, a comedy show, and a number of open rehearsals being conducted in the AAIS Studio. The open rehearsals are devising sessions that will be cinematically filmed.

We treat dadaism as an ontology for examining empathy and compassion. We consider the two to be teleologically volatile, accepting them to be an ‘a posteriori’ matter of concern.

The Short-Film; रक़ीब (Raqeeb) is an attempt at situating a simulated dinner party as a site for biopolitical transgression to tend towards an Avant Garde empathy. We reiterate, that we have a rhetoric more primal to us than our larger social dramaturgies, and it is important for us to harmonize both of them.

Warning.

You might see men, women and such like creatures; of which we make anatomy.

Symbols are these. Signs. We say no more.

They are social adults being social adults.

People, even wicked people are more naive and whole hearted than one generally assumes.

We’re transgressive on purpose.

It is a bit weird but it works.
